We provide full day programming for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities that promotes life long learning in a college-like atmosphere

SameAsU was featured on WISH-TV!

Thank you WISH-TV for this segment! We recognize there are other great options for families to choose from when deciding on where to send their young adults with developmental disabilities and are so grateful we get to now be one of those options.

Same As U, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established in April of 2019 to serve young adults with developmental disabilities and help them live the life they imagine. We are filling a need for more meaningful activities and programming that often stop upon leaving the school system.

Services include: continuing education, recreational, social and life skill training while fostering friendships and a sense of community.

She and her husband Kerry eventually moved back to Indiana and started a family. Jennifer spent the next ten years as a stay-at-home mom to their three girls - one of the best jobs she has ever had!

Jennifer made the leap from the for-profit sector to the not-for-profit sector in 2012.  The concept of Same As U was a slow and steady process that started many years ago. Jennifer could not shake what she refers to as a God-inspired passion to serve young adults with developmental disabilities. That prompting along with the help of many amazing people lead to Same As U opening its doors in January 2019.

As a parent of a young adult with a developmental disability, Jennifer understands firsthand what it is like to love and advocate for them. She is committed to making sure Same As U continues doing an excellent job of helping these young adults live the life they imagine.  Click to read more about how Jennifer's daughter helped inspire her to start Same As U.
